The Installation Process
Based on a warm roof, using Rhenofol cv single ply membrane and comes with a life expectancy in excess of 60 years.

Timber install
You can see the standard timber structure to most flat roofs, 18mm WBP plywood/OSB board supported by 225×44 timber joists.

Insulation install
On top of this, we lay a vapour barrier and insulation of any thickness, based on the client’s specifications. In this example, we are using 100mm thermafloor insulation.

Flashings install
We fit Rhenofol roofing flashings to the perimeter of the roof. These flashings are compatible with tiles, slates and adjacent external walls. Rhenofol roofing membrane can then be laid on and welded to these perimeter flashings, creating a permanent, watertight seal.

Sealing install
Each run is then mechanically fixed to the timber structure using plates every 400mm in distance. These plates are then overlapped by the next run and welded together creating a homogeneous waterproof seal. The weld is created through hot air welding.

The Finished Product
This process is repeated across the entire roof, leaving a premium quality, aesthetic finish. Rhenofol’s versatility means that it can be applied to almost any roof build up, including profiled metal, concrete, and timber structures. It also efficiently adapts to all forms of insulation, meaning homeowners can convert cold roofs into warm roofs, achieving large savings on heating costs.
Additionally, Rhenofol works optimally under soil or gravel, allowing roof gardens and green roofs to be incorporated into the building.
